As summer comes I get asked, "so how was college?" College was a blast. Learned a lot, forgot even more, and found shit out. Being home is now an interesting experience. If anyone would like to hang out, let me know as I don't really do too much. That especially includes friends that I've lost track of / contact with for whatever reason this year. This past weekend, I had yet another Speech Meet. Yes, for those of you who didn't know, I am a competitive speaker. Well needless to say, I'm pretty good at it. I happened to get 4th in Impromptu and 1st in Whoppers. Suprisingly enough, Whoppers is who can tell the biggest and best lie with the given topic. My coach knew I was a winner. I beat the two time defending champion who thinks she's hot shit and annoys the crap out of me. When I got my award, not only did she bow down before me, but she gave me the trophy instead of the people running it. Much love for me. Last thing my ego needed. Just thought I'd share that.

So I just got off Fall Break. I really enjoyed spending it in Indy. But it would be nice to be allowed home. But I have a new hobby. It's semi illegal but that's not the point. I love stealing the various posters they have around campus. Not like the flyers, but actual posters. I have a really nice one of Bill Clinton since he's coming to speak here. So if you want a poster let me know.

I also need help with halloween costumes. Me and my roommate have two ideas we're kicking around. Should we be a dancing monkey and it's trainer with a music box or two pimps with blow up dolls on leashes? Pick a favourite and let me know.

Another great idea we came up with, unrelated to halloween, is to cover everything we eat for the next week or so in weight gain formula, go to fat camp, and kick major ass in everything. Me and Peter are negative influences on each other. But it's fun. Hope everyone else is enjoying themselves.

  So Ufer came by this weekend. This was easily my best weekend since being here at Butler. I honestly don't remember when I last updated this sucker, but I know I avoided the "I'm here at college post" because I'm boring. So if you want to send me love or come visit me let me know. I really like the storm today. We could use some more of those. They're better around dusk too. I went outside and watched it with my guitar in hand. Just sat there playing, staring off at the sky and rain, and thinking about what's going on and what's coming. It was easily one of the best things I've done all summer. Hope everyone else is enjoying their time before that college.

Drink orange juice, kill scurvy. I can't tell you how many Mullins family members of yesteryear died because of scurvy. The Mullins name is notorious for being a family of pirates in the late to mid 1600's. Because of the lack of citrus onboard the boats, many a Mullins and their fellow shipmates died of scurvy. So do your part, drink orange juice. I know I do.

Yesterday I went to the Mosque to play basketball, that was fun, I was actually good, and I made new friends. But quite possibly the greatest part was watching them pray. I was just gonna sit in the gym by myself but one of the guys invited me to watch them pray. It was beautiful even though I couldn't understand a single word. They were extremely hospitable to me and I hate how people have a negative view of Muslims. It's not their fault they can't play basketball well.

Due to the number of storms we've been having as of late, puddles have been forming. If you have not experienced the joy of swimming in puddles in the past few years, I'd highly suggest it. It's invigorating to say the least. At the very least use that natural slip n slide known as wet grass.

So after a nice night of hookah, I get a call to hop on down to the batting cages. After kicking ass the day before I figure why not. So I step into the fastpitch softball cage. About half way into my session, I break the bat I'm using in half. Bent the handle too. Everyone is amazed but me. Yeah, you try and break a metal bat.
